Rock Asphalte’s Flexiphalte Triple Protection Roofing System was specified for the new BBC flagship building at White City, London – a major contract value of some £1.5 million. The Flexiphalte System, designed and guaranteed for the life of the substrate on which it is installed, was selected in preference to “hot rubber” as it offers greater longevity and durability. Nearly 15,000 square metres of Flexiphalte Triple Protection Roofing and Structural Waterproofing was installed by Rock Asphalte on the roofs and podium decks.
Designed to be laid “dead flat”, or to falls on concrete roofs and substrates, the System consists of a high performance Flexiphalte Baryprene Polymer Modified bitumen membrane fully bonded to the substrate.
The Client was Land Securities Trillium, Architects Allies and Morrison, and Main Contractor Bovis Lend Lease.
