The Cunard Building famously forms a prestigious part of the Liverpool skyline. The project involved stripping the existing mastic asphalt, which had lasted 60 years. The building was re-roofed by Briggs Roofing & Cladding with 3,000 square metres of Permaphalt polymer modified mastic asphalt. Despite difficult access via a cantilever scaffold bridge, the work was completed well ahead of schedule in 16 weeks.
